Nighttime turned in
a transportation thesis

filled with sirens and flashbulbs
clips and cuts

that sound that gainsboro sound
comin’ round again

don’t have to mean a thing

candied here in gridlock chatter

rivulets
corruptible sparks

yer headlamp barks
fever pitch ephemeral flickers

as transit noise forgets
for the first time that evening
